Alps App - Alpine flowers from the mountains in Europe

The AlpenApp is an interactive app with almost four hundred alpine flowers and a thousand beautiful photos from the High Alps of Austria, Switzerland and France.
Search by family, Dutch and scientific name or enjoy the professional nature photography by Wil Leurs and Alpine botanist Franck le Driant.
In the app, special attention is paid to gentians, primroses and rock plants from higher altitudes (up to 4200 meters). In order not to make the app too big, no trees and shrubs have been included.
Kids version
The Alpenapp has a children's version. You can choose this version via settings. The app will then only show the Dutch names. That's easier than the Dutch and scientific names at the same time.
The story behind the Alpine app
Unique to this app is that the foundation has been laid with 800 photos of alpine enthusiasts from the Netherlands and Belgium . These photos of hikers and climbers have been used to make a first selection of plants that stand out. Some of these photos are even included in the Alpenapp! The final selection for the Alpenapp was made with specialists from the botanical garden in Haren and the Jardin D'altitude.
