Come and discover Chalon sur Saône, town of Art and History, cradle of Photography, homeland of Nicéphore Niepce. Take the Orbandale path which crosses the pedestrian streets of the heart of the city allowing you to discover the Saint Vincent Cathedral, the half-timbered houses and the old citadel. Cross the Saône to discover the Ile Saint Laurent, with the rue de Strasbourg and its many eating places, as well as the old city hospital.
Our gastronomy and our regional products will also seduce you: between Bresse poultry and Charolaise meat, goat cheese, parsley ham, snails and eggs in meurette. Benefiting from an exceptional terroir, very good exposure and Burgundian know-how, the Côte Chalonnaise vineyard produces a diverse range of white and red wines combining finesse and character.
Bringing together big names such as Mercurey, Givry, Rully, Montagny and Bouzeron, the territory offers regional appellations, villages and premier crus. It is also the birthplace of the famous Crémant de Bourgogne.
You can also navigate on the Saône and the Canal du Center, and discover the Saône et Loire thanks to the networks of greenways, perfectly suited to walks in cycling and gentle travel.
