With iGräser you can easily, quickly and reliably determine the 111 most common native forest and free-range grass species (Poaceae) in Switzerland, both in non-blooming and blooming states. The determination takes place via individually selected characteristics from the areas (1) location, (2) growth form, (3) growth height, (4) vegetative characteristics (leaves), (5) generative characteristics (flowers), or (6) genus ( Systematics), including the distribution data by way of GPS positioning.
The individual species are described in detail (characteristics, pointer values, distribution in Switzerland) and the characteristics relevant for the determination are illustrated with photos. Explicit reference is made to similar types and possible confusion. Locations of rare species can be easily saved using the location function.
